not as good as it may look

this is what i did to myself last friday night. it wasn't as good as it may look. i didn't eat the whole thing because i put too much salt on it. but i did wake up with water retention because of the salt...my eyelids and fingers...lesson learned

Cucumbers are recognized for their refreshing, skin-reviving quality. Cucumber slices are a commonly recommended rejuvenating agent for tired, puffy eyelids. For a facial wash, puree half a small cucumber and add 1 tbsp. of plain yogurt, then apply. Yogurt, as well as milk, provides calcium and protein to skin. An alternative involves substituting 1 tsp. of honey for the yogurt. Honey is an antioxidant, and the darker it is, the more beneficial ingredients it has. Honey also helps make skin smooth.

it's time for whole-fu

so it's another attempt to commit myself (i really should commit myself) to eating more whole foods. it's not going to be raw 100% but more like whole, local-grown, easy-prep, uncomplicated, clean, as close to organic as i can. it gives me a "lighter" feeling...both physically and more important mentally.

namaste

Pronunciation: Nah-mah-stay

Namaste is a Hindi salutation or greeting. The word Namaste is a combination of the two Sanskrit words: nama, and te. Basically, nama means "to bow" and te means "you."

The Goddess Spirit within me recognizes and honors the God/Goddess Spirit within you.

Hands are held together at the palms in front of the heart or brow chakra. Head is bowed slightly downward. Eyes are sometimes closed.

Namaste is significant because it is a humbling gesture. Namaste is done as a recognition that we are all on equal standings, all of us are children of divinity. We are one.
